Rachel McAdams Reveals What She Told 'The Notebook' Musical Star Joy Woods When They Met

Rachel McAdams is currently on Broadway for the first time and her run is coincidentally happening at the same time as the premiere of The Notebook‘s musical adaptation.

The 45-year-old actress stepped out to promote her play Mary Jane on Monday morning (April 29) with an appearance on Good Morning America in New York City.

During her interview, Rachel talked about getting the chance to meet Joy Woods, who plays Allie in the musical version of The Notebook. It’s a role that Rachel originated in the movie version.

Stranger Things season four aired between May and July 2022, but fans will be waiting a while for more episodes as filming only recently began on season five.

Back in January 2023, it was announced the the cast would be getting big pay bumps for the next season and that the episodes would begin production in May 2023.

Because of the writers strike and now the actors strike, production never began and now it finally has. Check out some photos!

The show’s creators, The Duffer Brothers, have said that they will not be introducing major new characters in the final season and they will focus on wrapping the storylines of the existing characters.

Martin Freeman is speaking out to defend his movie Miller’s Girl amid backlash for the age gap between him and on-screen love interest Jenna Ortega.

The movie follows a talented young writer (Ortega) who embarks on a creative odyssey when her teacher (Freeman) assigns a project that entangles them both in an increasingly complex web. As lines blur and their lives intertwine, professor and protégé must confront their darkest selves while straining to preserve their individual sense of purpose and the things they hold most dear.

The characters, an 18-year-old student and a 49-year-old teacher, have a 31-year age gap. The actors also have the same age gap in real life.

Viewers have expressed outraged at an intimate scene between the actors, but they did work with an intimacy coordinator to make sure everyone was comfortable on set.

Now, Martin is speaking in response to the backlash.

Cady McClain and Jon Lindstrom met while acting together on the soap opera As the World Turns and then got married in real life, but they are ending their relationship.

The former soap stars announced this past weekend that they are separating after 10 years of marriage.

Cady starred as Rosanna Cabot between 2002 and 2005 and again from 2007 to 2010. Jon played Craig Montgomery between 2008 and 2010. They both earned Daytime Emmy Award nominations for their work on the show, with Cady picked up a win!

Lili Reinhart and Jack Martin aren’t seen together that often, but they made a rare public appearance while attending a screening over the weekend!

The cute couple posed for a photo while attending an advanced screening of the MAX film Turtles All The Way Down on Saturday (April 27) at the London Hotel in West Hollywood, Calif.

Lili and Jack joined other special guests including Kirsten Dunst and Bailee Madison.

Turtles cast members Isabela Merced, Felix Mallard, Cree, and Maliq Johnson, director Hannah Marks, and best-selling author and executive producer John Green were also in attendance!

The movie, based on Green‘s book, tackles anxiety through its 17-year-old protagonist, Aza Holmes. It’s not easy being Aza, but she’s trying… trying to be a good daughter, a good friend, and a good student, all while navigating an endless barrage of invasive, obsessive thoughts that she cannot control. When she reconnects with Davis, her childhood crush, Aza is confronted with fundamental questions about her potential for love, happiness, friendship, and hope.

Anne Hathaway is addressing the age gap in the romance between hers and Nicholas Galitzine‘s characters in the new rom-com The Idea of You.

The Oscar-winning actress plays a 40-year-old woman who falls for a much younger man, played by Nicholas.

The actors walked the red carpet together at the film’s premiere on Monday night (April 29) in New York City. They were joined by co-stars Ella Rubin and Reid Scott, as well as producer Gabrielle Union.

Earlier in the day, Anne stepped out for appearances on The Today Show alongside Nicholas and Live! With Kelly & Mark by herself.
