Chris Hemsworth is ready for action in the first official teaser trailer for his upcoming highly anticipated flick Thor: The Dark World, sequel to Thor.

Here’s a synopsis: After surviving an alien attack in The Avengers, Earth can’t catch a break, with a force Odin (Anthony Hopkins) says predates existence itself threatening to plunge the universe back into darkness.

The Alan Taylor-directed film also stars Natalie Portman, Tom Hiddleston, Idris Elba, Kat Dennings, Zachary Levi, Jaimie Alexander, and more.

The film will hit theaters on November 8!

The 33-year-old actress was joined by Idris Elba and Olivia Grant.

Here’s the film’s synopsis: When legions of monstrous creatures, known as Kaiju, started rising from the sea, a war began that would take millions of lives and consume humanity’s resources for years on end. To combat the giant Kaiju, a special type of weapon was devised: massive robots, called Jaegers, which are controlled simultaneously by two pilots whose minds are locked in a neural bridge. But even the Jaegers are proving nearly defenseless in the face of the relentless Kaiju. On the verge of defeat, the forces defending mankind have no choice but to turn to two unlikely heroes—a washed up former pilot (Hunnam) and an untested trainee (Rinko Kikuchi)—who are teamed to drive a legendary but seemingly obsolete Jaeger from the past. Together, they stand as mankind’s last hope against the mounting apocalypse.

Pacific Rim, which hits theaters July 12, also stars Idris Elba, Ron Perlman, and Charlie Day.

“I got into acting because I love it. I’ve always wanted to know more about it and experience it,” Taylor said about the biz.

“I moved to LA when I was 17-years-old…to chase after this dream of mine. I’m glad it didn’t really happen for me right away. My first acting gig was a Kellogg’s Corn Pops commercial, you can find it on YouTube,” Aaron said.
