The 31-year-old actor sat courtside as the Los Angeles Lakers took on the Denver Nuggets in Game 5 of the first round series of the NBA playoffs.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt shoots a man down in the teaser trailer for his upcoming flick Looper.

Here’s the synopsis: In the futuristic action thriller Looper, time travel will be invented – but it will be illegal and only available on the black market. When the mob wants to get rid of someone, they will send their target 30 years into the past, where a “looper” – a hired gun, like Joe (Gordon-Levitt) – is waiting to mop up. Joe is getting rich and life is good… until the day the mob decides to “close the loop,” sending back Joe’s future self (Bruce Willis) for assassination.

The sci-fi flick “takes place sometime in the near future, in which time travel is as common (and easier) than taking public transportation. Joe (Gordon-Levitt), with a new level of authority and grimness, plays an assassin. His next target? His future self, Older Joe (Willis),” according to THR.

Rian Johnson directed the movie, set to be released this September.

“When all is said and done, they will talk about [Rian] in the same way they do when they talk about Chris [Nolan] and Steven [Spielberg],” Joseph recently shared.

“All do it for the same reason: ‘Cause they f—ing love movies,” he added. “Most people do it with money as the finish line. It doesn’t lead to the best movies. It rarely does.”

Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Milla Jovovich participate on panels at the WonderCon 2012 event on Saturday (March 17) in Anaheim, Calif.

The 31-year-old actor who was promoting his film Looper and the 36-year-old actress who was promoting her latest Resident Evil flick met up in between their panels.

“Just had an awesome high five moment w/ 1 of my all time fave babes #JosephGordonLevitt at wondercon! U rock man! Does he have a twitter account?” Milla tweeted.

“Darlin, you are a babe among babes ;o)” Joseph replied to her tweet.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt is making his directorial debut with a sexy comedy he also wrote and is set to star in.

The 30-year-old actor will team up with Scarlett Johansson, who’ll play one of two major female roles in the flick.

“Plotlines are not being revealed other than it centering on ‘a modern day Don Juan and his journey to become less of a selfish dick, [Joseph]’s camp,” according to THR reports.

Production on the untitled comedy so far is slated to begin in Los Angeles on April 16.
