Both “Easy” and “Rager teenager!” will appear on his new six-song concept EP, In A Dream, which will be released on August 21 by Capitol Records. Troye also filmed the video for “Rager teenager! himself.

“I didn’t go in thinking I was going to write an album. That’s why I don’t have an album. I’ve got an EP because I was just kind of going through a lot and I just wanted to start writing. And I didn’t know what I was writing for. And I didn’t know this EP is such a weird little thing in that all of these songs sound pretty different from each other. And I think the through line, through all of them, is just that I felt like I needed to write that day. Especially with ‘Easy,” Troye told Apple Music.

Troye Sivan Performs His Song 'Take Yourself Home' From Home - Watch the Live Video!

Troye Sivan did a live performance of his new song “Take Yourself Home” from the comfort of his own home!

The 24-year-old singer and his bandmates each filmed their portions from their respective homes and the video went live on YouTube on Monday, April 20.

The song was supposed to be released later this year, but Troye decided to drop it early with everything that’s going on in the world.

Troye sourced many of the visual elements for “Take Yourself Home” from freelance artists via an Instagram post. Their work can be seen in the lyric video and a trio of t-shirts. The t-shirts, designed by @jacktaylorlovatt and @Lanning, are available for pre-order and all proceeds will be donated to WHO COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund and Spotify’s COVID-19 Music Relief project.

Troye Sivan is back with a brand new single!

The 24-year-old entertainer has just dropped “Take Yourself Home,” which originally was set for release later in the year.

Troye considered the song in a new context as he headed home to Australia to isolate during the current health crisis: “‘Take Yourself Home‘ is one of my favorite songs I’ve ever written,” he said in a statement. “The song is kind of a pep talk with yourself and the place you’re from. Grappling with your place in the world. I write these songs as a diary entry, then as life and places change and relationships change, songs can take on a new meaning entirely. Clearly that has happened for this song, with what is going on in the world right now.”

Realizing that many freelance artists have struggled to find work in the face of the pandemic, Troye put out a call for creatives to develop visual elements for the rollout of “Take Yourself Home.” The visuals for the pre-save page, lyric video and other elements were sourced from artists who responded to Troye‘s solicitation.

Troye has also launched three t-shirts, designed by @jacktaylorlovatt and @Lanning and sourced via Instagram, with all proceeds to be donated to WHO COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund and Spotify’s COVID-19 Music Relief project.

Troye Sivan Was Catfished By a Fake Greta Thunberg, Who Also Fooled Prince Harry!

Troye Sivan is sharing the story of how he was catfished by Russian pranksters who claimed to be environmental activist Greta Thunberg and her father.

“Story time: i got catfished. I’m bored and I’ve wanted to tell this story for ages,” the 24-year-old singer captioned a video on his Instagram account on Thursday night (March 26).

It all started when Troye‘s manager received a phone call from someone who pretended to be Greta‘s dad. The prankster said that they were planning something called “Stars Save the Earth” and they had a whole to-do list that included swimming with sharks with Leonardo DiCaprio, saving the animals in Africa with Prince Harry, and more.

“I was like, ‘Oh my god, this girl is so inspiring, and now she wants to work with me.’ That’s crazy,” Troye said in the video.

Troye‘s manager gave the pranksters his phone number and Troye only exchanged a couple text messages with the fake Greta before they realized what was going on.

After Troye‘s manager talked on the phone with the “dad,” they watched a video of Greta‘s real dad and realized it wasn’t the same person.

Turns out, Troye isn’t the only one who fell for the prank. Prince Harry also reportedly had several conversations on the phone with the pranksters.
